Farm livin'

This weekend our adventure was to Grand View Farms. Uncle Matt was taking care of a break job on the car, so Kamillia got to run around after Massey and look at all the weird and wonderful things around the barnyard. First up was her first time on a big tractor, the 5020 John Deere, which she almost pulled out of gear which would have sent us rolling into the corn crib. She also got her first up close look at a big Peterbuilt Truck. She enjoyed kicking the tires and looking at the undercarriage. After she got Massey a nice drink, and shoved Massey's head in the bucket of water to ensure she had enough, Kamillia followed Uncle Matt around and tried to figure out what exactly an air gun does. Appalachian trail, Mt. Minsi

Today we took the white blaze trail up mt. Minsi pa. We started by lake Lenape in Delaware water gap. Kamillia was good for the first quarter mile, then she figured out she could talk aunt Allison into being a donkey.

Mo mo came with us and as we parked the car he threw up all over the back seat. After that he did ok. We made it to about 1000 feet above sea level and had lunch over looking the river. Kamillia ate most of hers but shared the rest with momo . Mimi did ok walking mo mo, mostly cause he lead the way, pulling her up the steep parts and picking the best route among the rocks.

By the time we got back to the car, everyone was wore out. Lots of fun on our adventure!

Bushkill Falls, PA

Our first adventure this year takes place in pennsylvania. We decided to hike the yellow trail, a miles and a half hike, around the main falls. Kamillia handled the hike very well. She skipped along, ensuring to step on every pushed up tree root. Every 50 feet or so she would bend down to inspect the ground and pick up a rock for her pocket collection.

The trip started to incline as we neared the water, nothing she couldn't handle. She climbed so many stairs, stopping every few feet to stick her head through the water to see the falls. All went well till her shoe fell off, hit the water and was in the Delaware before we could even realize what happened . She was so sad, but it was quickly remedied with a trip to Kelly's.

Introduction

This blog is for my niece. She's an adventurous girl who has a fun summer in store for her. We have made our summer bucket list for 2012. I don't have the time to keep a scrapbook, so this is going to be our record of the fun we'll be having and a way for her family to follow her on her discoveries.
